Abstract: Questo libro, in lingua inglese, è dedicato alla memoria di Arturo Bambini la cui carriera scientifica si è svolta presso del Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), dal 1966 fino alla sua scomparsa nel 2008. È un omaggio allo sforzo e all'entusiasmo che ha condiviso con molti colleghi per molti anni, nell’ambito della ricerca in fisica. Il libro, contenente gli atti di una conferenza tenutasi presso l’Area di Ricerca di Firenze nel 2011, si basa sui contributi di scienziati, italiani e stranieri, che hanno avuto l'opportunità, e il piacere, di svolgere il proprio lavoro scientifico in collaborazione con Arturo Bambini. This book (in English language) is dedicated to the memory of Arturo Bambini whose scientific career was carried out within the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) of Italy from 1966 until he passed away in 2008. It is a tribute to the effort and enthusiasm in physics research he shared with many colleagues for many years. The book, which collects the proceedings of a Conference held in Florence in 2011, is based on the contributions of scientists, Italian and foreigner, who had the opportunity, and pleasure, to carry out their scientific work in collaboration with Arturo Bambini.
